Archery and Archery/Shotshell Hunting

                    

Archery Only Regulations:

1. TA01A, TA01B, TA22B, TA24A, TA24B, TA24C, TA31A, and TA31B are archery only.
2. Blaze orange or blaze pink is required in the archery only areas during any firearm deer season.
3. Archery tackle (except for airbows) and crossbows are weapons authorized for hunting on Fort Walker.

Archery/Shotshell Only Regulations:

1. TA07A, TA07B, TA22A, TA26A, TA30B, and CA27 are archery/shotshell only.
2. Blaze orange or blaze pink is required in the archery/shotshell only areas during any firearm deer season.
3. Only archery tackle, crossbows, and shotgun shotshells permitted.
   Shotshells are ONLY allowed for Turkey, Small Game, and
   Waterfowl. NO muzzleloaders, rim-fire rifles, shotgun slugs and buckshot.
4. TA7A/TA7B –Due to increased utilization and expansion of the Drop Zone,
   these areas have been closed when the Drop Zone is in use for safety
   concerns. By making these areas archery/shotshell only, they can be
   opened when the drop zone is in use, increasing recreational opportunity.
5. TA22A – Due to high traffic, new units/training facilities, and recreational
   biking/walking/running routes, this area’s utilization rate has increased.
   Making this area archery/shotshell only will address safety concerns.
